370-2513We began in 1966 as The Masqueraders. In the late
1980’s The Masqueraders revamped their company and changed
their name to “The Theatre Company of The Dalles.” We hold
productions locally in The Dalles. Everyone involved with
the making of the productions is entirely non-paid
volunteers. The Theatre Company will continue to deliver a
season of liver theater in the form of comedies, dramas,
mysteries, musicals and dinner shows. Our purpose has
always been the development of theater and allied arts among
all ages in The Dalles and surrounding communities; to
provide a cultural and education public service and to
promote the assimilation of theater arts into the civic and
social life of the geographic area. The Theatre Company’s
goal over the years has been to secure it’s own facility for
performances. Due to expenses this goal has remained
unattainable. The Theatre Company may never own their own
stage, but will remain a partner in reopening the Civic
Auditorium of The Dalles.
