State Scenic Corridor
Picnic under a stand of old-growth
ponderosa pine. You'll find all the conveniences: picnic
tables, drinking water and modern restrooms. The mixed forest
which borders the highway (through an area the locals call
Drews Gap), is especially colorful in the fall thanks to
stands of quaking aspen.

State Wayside
Take a break from the open road and
pull into this uncharacteristically wooded area. Have a spot
of lunch alongside a cool stream or rest in the shade of large
ponderosa pine. The park has picnic tables, drinking water,
flush toilets, and access to Crooked Creek, home to rainbow
trout and crayfish.
Goose
Lake State Recreation Area
Nestled away in the farmland around
Goose Lake, Goose Lake State Recreation Area gives you a place
to enjoy the cool shady green grass and access to Goose Lake
for boating or wildlife viewing. It is home to many species of
birds and other wildlife including a large herd of mule deer
which spend much of the time in the 48-site campground.
