The High Desert Museum engages visitors in the people, plants, and
animals of the arid Intermountain West, also known as the High Desert.
It includes nearly 53,000 square feet of exhibits and amenities in the
main building, while paved outdoor trails wind through acres of exhibits
and animal habitats. Live animal interpretations and living history
demonstrations are presented regularly.
Butte State Scenic Viewpoint
Come and explore an old cinder cone
located just east of Bend. Hike up and around on one of three
trails. The trails wind through stands of juniper and sage.
All of the trails lead to the summit. Once at the top, get
ready for a grand panoramic view of the high desert.
Rock of the Range
A private covered bridge, dedicated for use by the public.

Oregon, Tumalo rests along Oregon's spectacular Deschutes
River. The campground is simultaneously close enough to the
town of Bend to make an quick jaunt to the grocery store, but
far enough away to escape the commotion. Its location makes it
an ideal stepping stone for any type of outdoor activity you
could possibly dream of: lush green golf courses, clear
blue-ribbon trout steams, pristine alpine lakes, miles upon
miles of challenging yet scenic hiking and mountain bike
trails, and of course the Cascade Mountains are all within
